ManTech SRS Technologies provides reliability engineering support services to the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, California. These support services includes product and circuit reliability, thermal, structural and natural space environments modeling and simulation, electromagnetic compatibility requirements, test, and analysis, problem failure reporting, probabilistic risk assessment, Information Technology, and quality assurance. 



Support is needed at JPL for several flight programs including the NASA GRACE Follow-on Mission, scheduled for launch in 2015. This project will develop laser ranging technology for the mission, and analysis capability for Australia to measure polar melting rates and to monitor its continental water resources, providing insight into the impacts of climate change in our region.



Candidate will perform thermal and structural analyses of electronic hardware designs. Candidate will determine component temperatures for a variety of environments and assess random vibration fatigue life. Candidate will support environmental test programs. Candidate will support design reviews. Candidate will interact extensively with project personnel.











Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or Physics. 

Must have at least 2 years of experience in structural/thermal analysis and testing of electronic hardware and related disciplines.

Must have some capability in thermal and structural design and analysis software such as Thermal Synthesizer System (TSS), ANSYS, COSMOS, Thermal Analyzer System (TAS), and Solid Works.

This includes ensuring background investigations are completed and favorably adjudicated prior to the entry-on-duty (EOD) date. Ensures the appropriate level of background investigation has been initiated. Assists the government customer identify suitability issues for government determination of grant, deny, revoke, suspend, or restrict security clearances, or when adverse action is being taken. 
Provide guidance as required, verifying completeness and accuracy of documents, conducts personnel security and suitability interviews to obtain any missing information or clarify any conflicting information, prepares personnel security and suitability reports/correspondence, and collecting and delivering signed documents to the customer.

Responsible for interpreting policy originating from higher organizational levels and working with the government customer in resolving issues involving conflicting requirements. 

Performs administrative tasks associated with maintaining and supporting Electronic Questionnaire for Investigation (e-QUIP), and is responsible to perform data entry / retrieval to process reports, track / update actions to include Program Access Requests (PAR), using multiple databases to include the Air Force Access Data Base (AFADS) and Excel;
Requires familiarity with all administrative security support requirements associated with the receipt, distribution, inventory, reproduction, disposition, and management of classified (collateral and SAR) material.
Security Education: Must possess knowledge of the JAFAN 6/0 Security Education requirements and assist the customer implement and educate awareness. Perform program indoctrinations, specialized briefings, annual refresher training and debriefings to meet JAFAN 6/0, ICD (SCI) and Program compliance for approximately 200 individuals. Maintain security education records and track in a database in a manner to ensure compliance for semi-annual Core Compliance Inspections (CCIs). Duties can include but are not limited to;

* Assists in the development and administration of security programs and procedures for a multi security environment to cover SCI, SAP and DoD

* Knowledgeable of handling (Sensitive Security Information), PII (Personal Identifiable Information) and proprietary material, documents and equipment.

The Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A) Field Service Engineer (FSE) serves as a member of a globally distributed team that fields, repairs, integrates, and maintains client and server systems for the DCGS-A Programs. DCGS-A systems are a diverse mix of software and hardware solutions designed to meet challenging intelligence processing, exploitation, and dissemination requirements for the Army at war. DCGS-A features unique data scalability requirements and allows for a flexible system evolution. This position will specifically support the mission of the NTC, Ft. Irwin, CA.
Engineers working on the program are required to solve hardware and software challenges across three different fielded hardware and software baselines. The engineer will identify server and client hardware and software faults, create solutions, and then test solutions in often demanding field environments with little or no remote support. The DCGS-A FSE will interact with a wide variety of systems implementations on a single customer site, including Virtualized Machines (VMs) running on a variety of different hardware platforms.
The successful candidate will have extensive DCGS-A software, hardware, and network troubleshooting experience. The candidate will able to install, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux-based operating systems and software on client and server machines. Candidate will have project engineering experience and familiarity with remote system administration software, networking principles. They will also have exceptional oral and written communications skills and ability to work independently, with minimum direction; creative problem solver able to quickly devise, test, and implement solutions, and a self-motivated and results-focused mindset is a must.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

As the ISSO IT security specialist you are responsible for identifying information technology issues such as configuration management, malicious code eradiation, certification and accreditation of systems.

Responsibilities include: 


* Must be able to implement information systems security practices and technologies. 



* Experience and demonstrated knowledge of Networks, computer components, RF technology, IR, systems protocols, software integration of COTS technology particularly tools that scan physical layers of media (CDs, DVDs, Zip and hard drives, etc), power supply technology



* Windows NT, UNIX administration



* Penetration testing and analysis



* System methodologies including: client/server, webhosting, web content servicers, policy servers, directory servers, firewalls, WAN, MAN, LAN, switches and routers.



* Requires technical expertise in: configuring and supporting Windows 3.X, 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, Unix and other OS. DCID 6/3 and applicable ICDs. 



* Prevents and detects computer security compromises in a networked environment



* Performs Forensics and evidentiary preservation



* Integrates information systems into a physical security environment, able to decipher complex technical configuration documents and ability to translate technical information into understandable forms. 



* Good customer relation skills, team building ,ability to work independently, articulate in written and verbal forms.


Position Requirements:


* Junior Positions: HS, 3-5 years experience depending on position, at least 1-2 years specific experience



* Mid-level Positions: HS, BA preferred, 5-10 years experience depending on position, 3-5 specific exp.



* Senior Positions: BA preferred, 10+ yrs experience with 5-10 years specific experience depending on position



Security Requirements:U.S.Citizenship and an active DoD TS/SCI clearance based upon a SSBI completed within the last 5 years and CI Polygraph. 
Qualifications Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and five to seven years of related experience including comprehensive knowledge of intelligence and or counterintelligence.
