Job Duties and Responsibilities

As the Security Certification Officer you provide information system security certification and accreditation support.
Responsibilities include:
Enhances information system security awareness.
Requires in-depth ISS knowledge and skills.
Knowledge and application of DCID and ICD requirements for the protection of SCI (DCID 6/3).
Broad technical understanding of information technology systems, software and networks, concepts used in evaluation of security performance and integrity of applications, comms, hardware, software, satellite control systems and information processing systems.
Demonstrated ability of applying risk management strategies to information technology solutions.
Certification of IS designs/networks, configuration management plans, security control criteria, formulation of security policy, conduct site visits, C&A, application of proper security requirements to project life cycle support documentation.
Excellent written and verbal skills. Management experience a plus.
Position Requirements:
Junior Positions: HS, 3-5 years experience depending on position, at least 1-2 years specific experience
Mid-level Positions: HS, BA preferred, 5-10 years experience depending on position, 3-5 specific exp.
Senior Positions: BA preferred, 10+ yrs experience with 5-10 years specific experience depending on position
Security Requirements: U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD TS/SCI clearance based upon a SSBI completed within the last 5 years and CI Polygraph.
Qualifications Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and five to seven years of related experience including comprehensive knowledge of intelligence and or counterintelligence.
