Job Duties and Responsibilities

As a Network Staff Analyst, you will propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings. You will perform analysis, design, test, and evaluate network systems, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), Internet, intranet, and other data communications systems.
You will maintain smooth operation of local area, worldwide and virtual private networks (VPN). You will plan, evaluate, and coordinate installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network. You will monitor system performance and provide security measures, troubleshooting and maintenance as needed. You will maintain technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. You may prepare or ensure that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions. You will provide regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems. You will perform network modeling, analysis, and planning. You will research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software.
Minimum Qualifications:Candidates must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: Network System Analysis, MPLS network design and operations; IPV6 design, operation. Knowledge of leased line and SATCOM circuit troubleshooting. Enterprise telecommunication system troubleshooting skills are vital for this role.
Preferred Qualifications --Candidates with the following desired skills will be given preferential consideration: CCNA and/or CCNP Cisco certifications, JNCIE and/or JNCIP Juniper certification, Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Web Technologies, and SharePoint, INMARSAT/BGAN, X, C, Ku, Kband, Sband frequencies, Medium Earth Orbit & Low Earth Orbit Satellite Systems, Systems Architecture, Web Technologies, and COOP Planning.
Position Requirements: Bachelor degree plus 2 - 3 years of related experience.
Security Requirements: TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
