Job Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:
Research, design, develop, and modify enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software. Plan for system and development deployment. Meet software compliance standards. Evaluate interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of the overall system. Document the testing and maintenance of system corrections. Writing programs according to specifications needed. Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities: Design and develop tools for relevant operating system platforms and that integrate with commercial applications. Design and develop database management systems, image processing, collaborative tools, data manipulation techniques, data visualization techniques, and directory services. Provide database architectural and design capabilities. Develop unit and functional test plan. Provide for the operation and maintenance of operational systems. Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Consult with customers about software system design and maintenance. Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met. Write, update, and maintain computer programs or software packages to handle specific jobs, such as tracking inventory, storing or retrieving data, or controlling other equipment. Consult with managerial, engineering, and technical personnel to clarify program intent, identify problems, and suggest changes. Write, analyze, review, and rewrite programs, using workflow chart and diagram, and applying knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logic. Prepare detailed workflow charts and diagrams that describe input, output, and logical operation, and convert them into a series of instructions coded in a computer language.
Position requirements:
Minimum Qualifications-- You must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed: Oracle, SQL, SharePoint, Data Architecture, Web Design, Web Technologies, Remedy, Configuration Management Tools, and Database Design.
Preferred Qualifications-- Candidates with the following desired skills will be given preferential consideration: Ability to write in Java, Perl, C#, or C++, Experience applying software reuse methodologies including object-oriented methods and tools, design tools based on the Universal Modeling Language, Java, Java Applets, Java Script, and XML, MS Project, PMF/Project Management, and Systems Engineering.
Security Requirements:U.S. Citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance based upon a SSBI completed within the last 5 years. Current Polygraph.
