Job Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:
Preparing and coordinating the plans and schedules for new or existing programs. Monitoring and reviewing costs, operational budgets and schedules, and manpower requirements. Analyzing the effects of projects upon various areas such as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool to determine the most practical and cost-efficient methods to obtain the required resources. Resolving proposal preparation problems and assessing the progress against established plans and parameters.
Formulating and recommending corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements. Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities: Identify and analyze all or part of a component’s existing or new peripheral, network, and telecommunications systems requirements, taking into consideration special technology needs.
Work with other professionals, engineers, systems analysts, programmers, technicians, scientists, and top-level managers in the design, testing, and evaluation of systems. Consult with customers, visit workplaces or conduct surveys to determine present and future user needs. Ensure effective information flow, both written and oral, between all programs and organizational managers.
Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware. Research new technology and implement it or recommend its implementation.
Position Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications-- Candidates must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed: Systems Engineering, ITIL v3 Foundation Certification, Project Management, Metrics and metric development, Technical Writing, SLAs, and MS Project.
Preferred Qualifications-- Candidates with the following desired skills will be given preferential consideration: MPLS/IP networks, Portfolio Management, Knowledge Management, Configuration Management, Database Design, CM Tools, SharePoint, and Remedy.
Security Requirements:U.S. Citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance based upon a SSBI completed within the last 5 years. Current Polygraph.
