Job Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:
Performs expert system Architecture level activities. Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Perform analysis at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into a total systems solution that acknowledges technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Perform functional and timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities: Provide extensive project/team coordination along with technical guidance and direction to team members and others. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems. Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs a computer program is to address. Manage software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and other accepted design techniques and computer aided software engineering tools. Provide technical guidance in software engineering techniques and automated support tools. Provide technical direction to programmers to ensure program deadlines are met. Develop and apply information models for use in designing and building integrated, shared software and database management systems. Assist in establishing standards for information technology systems procedures.
Position Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications-- Candidates must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed: Systems Engineering, MPLS network design, IPV6, Web Technologies, and SharePoint.
Preferred Qualifications-- Candidates with the following desired skills will be given preferential consideration: INMARSAT/BGAN, X, C, Ku, Kband, Sband frequencies, Medium Earth Orbit & Low Earth Orbit Satellite Systems, Systems Architecture, Web Technologies, Technical Writing, and COOP Planning.
Security Requirements:U.S. Citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance based upon a SSBI completed within the last 5 years. Current Polygraph.

Qualifications Requires Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent, and five years of related work experience.
