Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Technical Project Manager to join our team in Herndon, VA to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for managing system engineering and system administration personnel for a multi-platform, highly available virtualized computing environment.
Act as the mission integrator for infrastructure (non-operational) projects to ensure that all phases of the planning and implementation are coordinated.
Assist staff officers with infrastructure-related planning and renewal activities (Capacity planning, license management, product upgrades, patch management, etc.).
Establish and execute policies and procedures for managing system definition, development, and operations.
Lead Service Transition Activities for all infrastructure deployments.
Constantly monitor and report on project progress to stakeholders.
Coordinates peer reviews, review boards, and prepares quality assurance procedures.
Evaluate deliverables to ensure requirements are met successfully.
Bachelor s degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent, and 10+ years of relevant (progressively responsible network systems engineering) experience and management experience.
At least two of the following criteria is required; all are preferred:
5+ years of project management experience.
PMP certification in good standing.
ITIL Foundation certification.
Experience performing security hardening of Windows and Linux operating systems.
Experience with US Government security accreditation models such as NIST 800-53 or ICD 503.
Experience with system monitoring tools for: Virtualization management (e.g., vSphere vRealize, vSphere vCOPS), Storage management (e.g., NetApp System Manager, EMC VNX), Network management (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, splunk), Vendor Platform Management (e.g., HP Onboard Administrator, HP Insight Manager).
Foundational knowledge of network engineering concepts and protocols a must; the candidate should understand at a minimum TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, FTP, SFTP.
Visio, PowerPoint, and MS Project skills are required.
Familiarity with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Master s degree in Computer Science preferred.
Experience with the design, implementation, and maintenance of a Linux environment is desired.
Prior experience with hypervisor based virtualization technologies such as VMWare ESXi, Hyper-V, or Xen is desired.
Prior experience with design, implementation, and maintenance of Windows 2008 R2 / 2012 R2 environments is desired.
Prior implementation experience with enterprise storage systems and storage area networks is desired.
Prior system engineering or project management experience in an enterprise environment preferred.
Advanced knowledge of information security engineering principles a must and prior experience applying them to systems (both Windows and Linux systems) and workstations desired.
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
