Job Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as contractor’s Project Director authorized to interface with the Government Contracting Officer (CO), Government Contracting Officer’s Representative, Government Program Manager and customer agency representatives. Under the guidance of the Program Manager, responsible for the overall management of specific task order(s) and ensuring that the technical solutions and schedules in the task order are implemented in a timely manner. Provide project leadership to, and management of, assigned projects or major phases of significant projects or programs by coordinating the efforts of assigned staff. Plans, coordinates, schedules, directs, and controls all engineering and technical support activities applicable to task execution. Reviews and evaluates all work performed. Ensures compliance with all management plans, policies and procedures. Responsible for overall task order or project performance within budgetary and schedule guidelines. Identify and recommend objectives and scope of projects and communicates goals, scope, approach and schedules to assigned personnel. Provides recommendations for resolution of technical problems.
Qualifications Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and ten to twelve years of related (technical environment) experience.
Additional Qualifications At a minimum should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering management, mathematics, or physics from a college or university accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. An advanced degree is preferred. At a minimum should have additional course work or participation in applicable seminars/symposia and six (6) years of relevant work experience in systems development and engineering in communications, command and control, aviation electronics, data and information processing or modeling and simulation. Should have background in a Department of Defense development and/or acquisition environment. Experience should demonstrate the ability to meet the duties described in Column C.
