Job Duties and Responsibilities

As theDatabase Developer, you will work as part of a team to develop and implement Budget-related Applications.
You will develop, code, and maintain applications and ensure each application is compatible with the project Single Integrated System (SIS). You will support the implementation of a new project Platform, involving applications/hardware and software design.
You will apply application development knowledge to design improved processes, generate valid technical requirements, and ensure these are consistent with the project SIS architecture.
You will assist with formulating and defining the technical scope of project application activities aimed at improving customer support for overall business processes.
You will identify application and technology risks with the potential to impact project plans.
Position Requirements: 11 – 15 years of relevant experience
Mandatory Skills:
• JAVA J2EE (JAVA v. 5/6 development experience, minimum 4 years hands-on development experience).
• SQL, PL/SQL development experience. At least two years of experience.
• XSL Transformations. At least one year of experience.
• Spring and Hibernate development experience. At least two years of experience.
• One year prior experience developing within a JBOSS portal environment.
• One year prior experience developing within a Linux Red Hat environment.
• One year prior experience developing within an Oracle 10g/11g environment.
Optional Skills:
• Knowledge of the project management processes, procedures and tools.
• Working knowledge of the customers System Certification and Accreditation process.
• Experience working in a Blade Server hardware based environment.
• Experience with Role Based Access Control (RBAC).
• Experience developing a “Virtual” System environment.
• Experience with Oracle Virtual Private Database.
• Ability to analyze and study complex information systems requirements.
• Broad familiarity with open source software tools and components.
• Experience with functional, system and data requirements analysis.
• Experience with ETL for Data Warehouse support.
• Familiar with the role of the Intelligence Community.
Security Requirements: TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
