General Responsibilities: Monitors, evaluates, and maintains systems and procedures to protect the data systems and databases from unauthorized users. Identifies potential threats and responds to reported security violations. Determines causes of security breaches. Researches, recommends, and implements changes to procedures to protect data from future violations. Assist in educating users on security procedures.
Specific Responsibilities: Serves as the first line tnage analyst supporting the security monitoring of NSA/CSS information systems. Identifies events/incidents that require follow-up action. Possesses a good understanding of network protocols. Must have a minimum of 2 years experience and understanding of HP Openview’s Network Traffic Flow monitor.
Required IT Training and Certifications: ArcSight Certified Analyst; Successful completion of IBM Site Protector User Training; and IAT Level II certification (Per DoD 8570.1)

Qualifications Requires Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent, and zero to two years of related experience.
