ManTech Principal Systems Engineer in Washington, District Of Columbia

ManTech is looking for a motivated, team-oriented multi-disciplined Principal Systems/Network Engineer on a small one-stop shop IT team, gathering requirements and designing and implementing secure system solutions for a Program Office operating out of Washington, DC. The existing Windows Server 2008/2012 information systems are connected to CONUS and OCONUS sites from a central office.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Provide expertise and direction in engineering secure technical solutions for the existing Information System

  • Engineer, document, deliver and maintain the information solutions

  • Responsible with the team for the overall integration of a total network (red and black) including the planning, design, installation, maintenance, management and coordination of information systems with remote sites throughout CONUS and OCONUS

  • Recommend and implement system and network security solutions

  • Perform requirements analysis, design, and integration for the information system to include network engineeringImplement and manage network monitoring tecnology

  • Responsible for investigating and resolving operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnelDiagnose and resolve the complex performance, security, and/or technical challenges related to the platforms listed below

  • CONUS and OCONUS travel is required as is the ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport

  • Provide IT Systems Engineering support on a wide range of technologies, including: Windows Server 2008/2012 R2, Active Directory, Cisco and VMware technologies

Position requirements:

  • Requires Bachelors degree (in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering or related field) and seven to nine years of related experience.

  • DoD 8570 qualified; minimum IAT Level 2 required

  • VMware VCP6-DCV certification required

  • Windows Server 2008/2012 MCSA or MCSE a plus

  • CCNA Voice certification required

  • Knowledge of PKI a plus

  • Knowledge of SAN technology a plus

  • Risk Management Framework experience is a plus

  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.

  • Must be open to up to 10% annual travel

US Citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance required
