ManTech Summer Intern (Technical) in Altadena, California

College student position under direct supervision performing various tasks for ManTech professional staff. Supports the technical and/or engineering functions to assist staff in preparation of deliverable s. May prepare reports and correspondence. Performs other duties as assigned:

Initial prep work:

• Image and run all updates in advance of the deployment

• Clean up laptops so they are presentable

• Match appropriate power source to each laptop make/model

• Install any additional hardware (memory) for special request; i.e. CAD laptop

Once on-boarding list for the groupings has been created/received by ManTech:

• Pull/assign laptop per request

• Connect to network

• Reset admin password and login

• Reset user s password

• Add user s account

• Register mac address

• Log off and login as the user

• Confirm Windows login, confirm JPL WiFi connection and confirm email is working

• Log off, shut down

• Affix label to laptop with identification and store in bin based on grouping

Day of deployment:

• Load equipment in van to be transported to JPL

• Unload equipment once on site

• Setup/stage equipment base on arrival time

• Setup deployment area with tables

• Check network connectivity (setup by NetOps)

• Student arrival, begin deployment

o Have student reset their password

o Have the student login to their laptop; confirming WiFi connection, confirming connection to email and confirming Smartcard is working

• Once last group have received their laptops, break down tables and put them back in storage and disconnect network hub and place in storage

Deployment – Part 2 (next day):

• Determine which of the students have requested additional peripherals and arrange delivery/installation to the students work location/office

Preparation begins for the next deployment

• Repeat #2

• Repeat #3

Replen activities for the summer interns

• Return of laptops- receive and track laptops to check-in lists

• Assist MT Field Techs in tagging and restocking to inventory
