ManTech Business Analyst in Chantilly, Virginia

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Senior Business Analyst to join our corporate IT department in Chantilly, VA to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Formulate and define systems scope and objectives through analysis and understanding of user needs, business needs, industry knowledge and industry requirements

  • Facilitate and/or participate in requirements elicitation sessions with Project Management and other personnel to identify and define business needs, objectives and concerns

  • Translate business needs into effective functional and non-functional system requirements

  • Develop detailed systems requirements documentation including business process models, business and systems use cases, field level requirements and business logic

  • Communicate business needs and objectives as well as system requirements to development and other technical teams

  • Participate in the technical design process and provide support to the technical team throughout the development life cycle; ensuring business requirements are understood and are being addressed by the solution

  • Provide regression, system and integration testing of new and existing business application features; including development of test scenarios and scripts

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, track and resolve issues reported against various versions and configurations of the business application in production, escalating issues as needed to appropriate technical teams or management

  • Provide operations and maintenance support by effectively defining and tracking enhancement requests reported by end users

  • Administer and configure business application sites in production, ensuring appropriate user access and function

  • Track and monitor the use of business application sites in production

  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of business processes within assigned areas and support new development and operations and maintenance of current application features

  • Periodically review and update end user documentation, training materials, end user communications and quick guides

  • Utilize your understanding of business processes and the business application to assist project teams in maximizing their use of the application; including providing demos, training, suggesting use of other tools and solutions, etc.

Position Requirements:

  • Degree in Business or Computer related field or equivalent and 5+ years of related experience

  • Candidate should have experience with/knowledge of software development lifecycle, Agile methodology

  • The candidate must be detail-oriented and have excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • The candidate must have experience working with end users to elicit requirements, troubleshooting application issues and manage user concerns

  • Experience communicating and managing system requirements through use cases

  • A minimum of two years of software development experience including requirements analysis and design of systems of a high complexity is required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills leveraged to interface with senior business leadership and technical resources

  • Experience with government contracts and/or business application development preferred

  • Positive attitude, good problem-solving skills, self-starter, self-motivated, team player

  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment

  • Experience with database driven applications

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint

Security Requirements:

This position requires US citizenship because of its proximity to systems that have access to classified information and the direct work with federal customers. Selected individuals will eventually be required to obtain a security clearance.
