Senior SecuritySpecialist

The Senior Security Specialist s primaryfunction is to provide multi-disciplined security support to a customer sfacility and organization. The position will provide “day-to-day support forCollateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special AccessProgram (SAP) activities.

Performance shallinclude:

· Classificationreviews of inbound and outbound correspondence

· Assistin the maintenance of a document accountability database and associated correspondence

· Processinginbound and outbound classified mail and receipt records

· Performdestruction of classified materials

· Processmagnetic media for accountability

· Reproductionsupport for classified materials

· Maintainvarious daily logs for a variety of administrative functions associated withdocument control

· Assistin the processing of inbound data and outbound data transfer files

· Transferelectronic data files to internal customers

· Maintainan extensive customer database point of contact listing

· Assistwith researching, processing, filing, and maintaining inbound and outboundvisit notices

· Escortfacility visitors and maintains associated logs

· Assistin the preparation of facility access control badges

· Conductentry and exit inspections

· Assistin the maintenance of facility access control entry systems, to include visitorcontrol

· Performdata entry to the Personnel Access Security System database and maintain allcustomer sponsored billets and quota information

· Assistin maintaining personnel security files for all personnel of the supportedelement

· Followand enforce the customer s Standard Operating Procedures

· Providesupport for the security awareness and education programs

· Performmiscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the contractorsite lead and/or the Government Security Representative

· Review,track, and monitor security clearance processing activities with appropriategovernment personnel to achieve appropriate clearance actions

· Participatein Air Force SAP security compliance inspections of government organizationsand industry

· ImplementTop Secret Control for accountable material and associated correspondence

· Prepareand/or process inbound and outbound classified mail, faxes, courier packagesand receipts

· Prepare,process, and/or review Program Access Request (PARs) for accuracy and accesseligibility

· ExecuteSpecial Access Program Nomination Process Questionnaires

· ConductDefense Central Index of Investigations (DCII), Joint Personnel Access System(JPAS), and SAPNP reviews of candidates being submitted for SAP access

· Performdata entry and record checks in the Joint Access Database (JADE) and maintainsall

· customersponsored personnel access information current

· Performindoctrinations

Experience:

· 6-8years total experience, including minimum 3-5 years experience with SCI or SARprograms. Minimum of 1 year relevant experience with SAR programs desired.

Education:

· Bachelor sdegree or equivalent additional experience (4 years)

Certifications:

· Mustcomplete the DoD SAPCO approved SAPNP training within six months of starting oncontract (if performing SAP personnel security functions)

· SIMSdatabase familiarity or complete training within six months of starting oncontract (if

· performingdocument control functions)

· Mustcomplete JPAS training within six months of starting on contract (if performingSCI personnel security functions)

· Mustcomplete Joint Access Database Environment (JADE) training within six months ofstarting on contract (if performing SAP personnel security functions)

SecurityClearance:

· CurrentTop Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility

· Eligibilityfor access to Special Access Program Information

· Willingnessto submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph

Requirements:

· Mustbe familiar with security policy/manuals and the appropriate ICDs/JAFANs/DODManuals and other guiding policy documents.

· Musthave the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact withnumerous DOD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners

· Workingknowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

· Possessa high degree of originality, creativity, initiative requiring minimalsupervision

· Willingnessto travel within the organizational Area of Responsibility (AOR) (note - couldbe

· extensive, and will include both air andground transportation)

Qualifications

Requires Bachelor s degree or equivalent and five to seven years of related experience. Ability to obtain a security clearance. Knowledge of DOD, DOE or other industrial security program and in-depth knowledge of the DOD, DOE or other government security
