Currently, ManTech is seeking a Network Engineer SME to provide unparalleled support for an exciting and rewarding opportunity in Falls Church, VA supporting the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR). The Network Engineer SME will assist in the O&M of the EOIR network infrastructure and work closely with the networking team on any operational networking issues.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Configure switches and wireless access points for deployment to field sites
Troubleshoot connectivity issues reported by users to include tracing network drops and analyzing configurations
Assist in the asset management of all network equipment
Assist in the preparation of reports on the health of the infrastructure
Proactively upgrade the operating systems on enterprise network equipment (as necessary or directed by management)
Implement security fixes on enterprise network equipment (as necessary or directed by management)
10+ years experience supporting network hardware
Proven ability to troubleshoot network issues
Familiarity with installing network drops and testing their functionality
Familiarity with network cabling and cable management
Familiarity with Windows Operating Systems (Windows 7, 10 , Server 2008/2012/2016 )
Effective working knowledge of IPv4 subnetting, MLS
Experience in providing hands-on customer support
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proven Ability to use bracketing and the OSI model for troubleshooting network issues
CCNA Routing & Switching is a plus
CCNA Security is a plus
- US citizenship and ability to obtain DOJ-Public Trust clearance is required.
Requires Bachelor s degree (in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics or Math) or equivalent, and ten to twelve years of related (telecommunication analysis) experience.
