Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission oriented Senior Principal TEMPEST CNO Hardware Engineer in the Ft. Meade, MD area, with strong Customer relationships. The IMS Division provides cyber solutions to a wide range of Defense and Intelligence Community customers. This division consists of a team of technical leaders that deliver advanced technical solutions to government organizations. Our customers have high standards, are technically adept, and use our products daily to support their mission of protecting national security. Our contributions to our customer s success is driving our growth.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Performs as the technical expert

  • Performs complex repairs & can diagnose conflicting problems across multiple subsystems

  • SME on many complex engineering techniques

  • Expert w/most complex laboratory tools & procedures

  • Able to conduct examinations w/no oversight w/quality results

  • Reviews others in their work, & provides training as required

  • Leads development project for new tools techniques

  • Leads research & development efforts into new hardware technologies

  • Apply technical knowledge of & expertise in identifying developing, & integrating technical solutions critical to success of client & analyze & reverse engineer hardware, firmware, embedded systems, larger integrated systems, & internal system & external interface protocols

  • Leverage expertise in hardware engineering methodologies & development environments to develop solutions as part of an integrated team

  • Demonstrate expertise in problem-solving & analysis to develop solutions to user requirements or resolve technical challenges

  • Develop document & execute system test plans & procedures to ensure systems meet performance requirements, work w/diverse group of skill sets, and develop requirements for tools or apps

  • Considered a lead, may manage the work of others

  • Interact with Army TEMPEST Security Officers and Network Enterprise Centers around the world on behalf of Government Certified TTA (CTTA s)

  • Receive, open, recommend for assignment, and track TEMPEST missions

  • Proofread and edit up to SECRET CTTA review memorandums

  • Provide completed reviews to Army units

  • Assist with validating countermeasure implementation; Update the TEMPEST database

  • Maintain paper and digital TEMPEST records

  • Provide activity reports to higher headquarters

  • Perform up to SECRET desktop or on-site TEMPEST evaluations to determine compliance with applicable Army and DOD policies

  • Conduct outreach and analysis

  • Provide CTTA s with recommendations for countermeasure requirements

  • Complete classified facility TEMPEST notification memorandums

  • Complete facility or system TEMPEST countermeasure reviews (TCR)

  • Complete protective distribution system (PDS) technical reviews

  • Advise the Government CTTAs on applicable threat levels

  • Identify applicable spaces that can be inspected

  • Develop proposed countermeasures

  • Complete TEMPEST or PDS site-specific threat assessments

  • Draft formal TCR or PDS technical review memorandums or threat assessment documents

  • Draft, review, and edit TEMPEST standing operating procedures (SOP); Review TEMPEST control plans, test plans and test reports; Update the TEMPEST database

Position requirements:

  • Requires Bachelor s degree or equivalent and ten to twelve years of related experience.

  • Minimum of four years experience in technology/tools specific to the target platforms.

  • CTTA

  • Certified TEMPEST Professional Level II credentials

  • Completed the National TEMPEST School TEMPEST Fundamentals Course and TEMPEST Facility Installation and System Design Course; have experience conducting TEMPEST facility or system reviews; possess a working knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Access; and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Also preferred is knowledge of the national TEMPEST community, policy, and operations

Security Requirements:

An active TS/SCI Security Clearance is required
