Job Description:

As a Senior Contracts Manager, you will leadand support a team of contracts professionals at various experience levelsproviding contract administration and proposal activities, and assist in theformulation of contract policies, procedures, methods, operating practices, andperformance standards. You will facilitate effective implementation ofcontracts responsibilities within program objectives and requirements andoversee proposal preparation and contract negotiation. You will developand maintain strong internal and external customer relationships. You will also advise management of contractualrights and obligations and provide interpretation of terms and conditions andhave the ability to travel to other local offices as needed.

Duties Include The Following

  • Guide, direct and evaluate the activities of Contract personnel at various experience levels involved in bid/proposal efforts, and the negotiation and management of contracts.

  • Ensure contract team members provide timely support to proposal team by reviewing the solicitation, identifying questions, concerns or ambiguities and taking appropriate action.

  • Oversee the development of effective cost, offer, intellectual property and organizational conflict of interest (OCI) plans as required.

  • Travel as required to support the assigned Division responsibilities.

  • Provide strong managerial and leadership skills with technical knowledge for contracts activities to ensure responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct reports are understood.

  • Coach and provide on the job training to ensure direct reports are capable of meeting demands for assigned contracts. May serve as lead instructor of a training program

  • Assist in the development of clear, objective professional development plans for staff.

Position Requirements:

• 10+ years experience working in thegovernment contract sector managing contract administration and teams.

• Strong understanding of FAR, DFAR, all government contract types, UCC,commercial contracts, international contracts and cradle to grave process.

• Experience in assessing business and contractual risks including performanceand legal risks.

• Experience in supporting due diligence of acquisitions

• Experience in training and mentoring Staff

Requires Bachelor s degree or equivalent in Business Administration or related field, additional training in contract law, and ten to twelve years of related experience.
