Maintains data files and control procedures for a complex system of networked computers or for a single group of microcomputers linked to a host workstation, or mainframe. Responsible for system security and data integrity. Assigns passwords and monitors use of resources, backs up files as required and responds to management requests for information. Provides technical guidance to lesser-experienced systems administrators.

Working with BrightHPC:
Install and configure RHEL 7.x with disk encryption, Bright cluster software on the Head node, andsoftware images.
Discuss the nodeprovisioning process.
Install and manage workload managers (preferably SGE and SLURM) and apply rpms to softwareimages.
Work with managed andunmanaged switches, integrate Windows Active Directory with Bright clusterenvironment, perform user management using Bright's LDAP, and manageBright clusters.
Configure and manage various storage technologies (SAN, NAS, and JBOD) and storage vendors (EMC,SanDigital, etc.).
Red Hat logical volumemanager, NFS and Samba, apply Red Hat 7.x and cluster patches to Brightenvironment.
Work with enterprise levelbackup platform (preferably Commvault) to perform backup, restore snapshotfunctionalities.
Using IPMI to perform nodepower management
Manage the functionality and efficiency of a system of information technology assets running on one or more operating systems.
Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of information technology and computing resources, and assure and sustain the integrity and security of servers, systems and service accounts.
Program in an appropriate administrative language, serve as a programmer employing a wide variety of disciplines, and develop and implement testing strategies and document results.
Maintain system documentation.
Provide advice and training to end-users, and guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members.
Interact with users and evaluate vendor products; make recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinate installation and provide backup recovery.
Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
Participate in special projects as required
BS or BA degree in a Computer Science or a related scientific discipline or five (5) or more years of experience in systems administration and analysis may be substituted for a BS or BA degree.
Desired: Master's Degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or a related scientific discipline.
Formal / technical education and certifications on platforms/systems outlined in “Required Skills and Experience .
Desired: Have worked 5 years with government agencies.
Must be a self-starter who can take senior-leader guidance and intent, and oversee the operations of independent and collaborative, assigned projects.
At least five (5) years of experience in a systems administrator / engineer position, and possess an industry standard certifications.
Demonstrated experience in analysis simulation environment, configuring/troubleshooting software/hardware enhancements, application deployments, and infrastructure upgrades in a dynamic information systems hosting environment.
Possess the following Bright HPC qualifications / experience:
