Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Information Sr. Information Systems Security Officer to join our team in the Tysons Corner, VA area to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech. The selected individual will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on incident response and coordination with Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in response to Information Assurance concerns.

A qualified Senior Information System Security subject matter expert will work in a hybrid DoD/IC environment providing guidance and oversight to a large, complex set of information systems. This opportunity allows for a seasoned information security professional to work side by side with both government and industry partner stakeholders in managing the InfoSec requirements of a fast-paced, dynamic program supporting a mission critical to national security. The position seeks a motivated self-starter with the ability to quickly assess complex information systems and partner with ISSMs, COTRs and DAAs to use the RMF process to document and validate the effectiveness of security controls. Sound security fundamentals and a proven track record of effective InfoSec based risk management are essential. Ideal candidates will have experience providing ISSM support to hardware and software development enviroments and deliverable mission systems, conducting self-assessment and inspections, creating and reviewing RMF packages for completion and quality, providing an extraordinary level of customer service and providing assurance to data owners that the InfoSec program is efficient and effective.

Security Clearance Required:

Active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in technology and/or information systems related discipline desired (will consider experience in lieu of degree) and 10 or more years of experience.

  • In-depth knowledge working with ICD 503 and NISPOM processes and requirements.

  • Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and/or related certification.

  • Ability to effectively communicate - in writing and verbally - with different levels of internal and external customers and to effectively express complex ideas and insights, verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences.

  • Demonstrated in-depth understanding of the system certification documentation by reviewing and endorsing such documentation and recommending action the by Designated Accrediting Authority (DAA).

  • Strong analytic and critical thinking skills and demonstrated relevant experience both in the SAP and SCI environment. Candidate must have extensive knowledge of Join Air Force, Army, Navy (JFAN) manuals in Intelligence Community Directives (ICD).

  • Knowledge of the techniques used in industry to develop and refine information and telecommunications architectures.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks and change focus quickly and demand change.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a network of analytic contacts across the IC and DoD.

  • Demonstrated initiative working with mission partners across cultural, organization and function boundaries to achieve complex operation and technical objectives.

  • Hands on experience working with DoD 5220.22-M, DoDD 5205.07, DODI 5205.11, DoDM 5205.7, Vol 1-4, DoDM 5200.02, Vol 1-4, DoDM 5200.01 Vol 104, ICD 503, ICD 705.

  • Must be willing to travel UP to 25%, both CONUS and OCONUS.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of system certification and accreditation process.

  • Extensive experience in SCI and SAP compartment program environment. Should possess a clear understanding of the policies and procedures governing the administration and oversight of systems protected at multiple levels of security.

  • Demonstrate the capability to design, manage or analyze vulnerabilities of data networks.

  • Master's degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant analytic or technical field such as Engineering, Computer Science, or fields applicable to information technology.
