ManTech Network Engineer in Orlando, Florida

ManTech International Corporation is currently seeking a Network Engineer to be part of the Operations and Maintenance Team for the Persistent Cyber Training Environment (PCTE) Program. The PCTE program is focused on delivering innovation to advance the cyber domain.

The PCTE mission is ground breaking and revolutionary in nature and involves innovate thinking and making connections across complex innovations, ideas, and thoughts.  You will be contributing to a solution which will define the U.S. cyberwarfare doctrine and the practical underpinnings related to U.S. Military s cyber capabilities.

You will contribute to developing a world class cyber training asset for the U.S. military using a best of breed integrated approach to provide individuals and teams to train as they fight. You will be part of an elite team helping design, build, deliver, and manage an interconnected and multi-domain cyber platform to assess the readiness and capabilities of the DoD Cyber Mission Forces.  This position is not for the faint of heart.  If you thrive in a changing and dynamic environment, then you are an ideal candidate.

The selected individual will contribute to an integrated team tasked with the design, development, integration, installation, test, operations, sustainment, and training on behalf of PEO STRI and the program s end users.

The Network Engineer s role is to ensure the stable operation of the computer network infrastructure. Position will work individually and as part of a team responsible for planning, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. The person will also analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user training where required.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and setup routers, switches IDS/IPS and other network appliances

  • Configure MPLS and IPSEC VPN /DMVPN

  • Design, setup and configure switching and routing environments

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Local and Wide Area Networking concepts & trends

  • Manage assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives

  • Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information

  • Monitor and test network performance and uptime, and provide network performance statistics and reports

  • Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs

  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree in the field of information technology and/or 3 years equivalent work experience

  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret level clearance

  • Cisco CCNA (R&S, Security, and/or Data Center) certification or equivalent experience

  • Network Skills and Experience

  • Experience configuring Cisco routers

  • Experience configuring Cisco data center switches

  • Experience converting customer requirements to technical solutions

  • Experience configuring security appliances

  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret level clearance

  • Experience with MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio

  • Understanding of IP tunneling technologies

  • Strong Understanding of Spanning-Tree Protocol
