ManTech Information Security Engineer in Stafford, Virginia

General Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the execution of C&A strategies

  • Analyze INFOSEC technical problems

  • Work independently and within an agile team structure in a fast paced/dynamic environment

  • Provide security assessments to support lifecycle C&A tasks

  • Document and update information assurance system documentation such as SSAA

  • Provide superior customer service; possess strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills in a dynamic customer centric environment

  • Must be willing to travel up to 25%, both stateside and overseas

  • Able to conceptualize and implement security systems and architectures

Mandatory Skills:

  • Requires Bachelor's degree (in field mathematics, telecommunications, electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science) or equivalent and five to seven years experience with information networks and the security aspects

  • Hands on experience with security test and evaluation (ST&E)

  • Knowledge of NIST Special Publication (SP) 800-53 and 800-37

  • Hands on experience with DIACAP and DCID 6/3 required, RMF/ICD 503

Other Skills Preferred:

  • In scope TS/SCI

  • Basic understanding of system engineering principles

  • Understanding of networking topologies

  • Understanding of Windows Active Directory environment

  • STIG compliance and remediation

  • SCAP, ACAS and Nessus skills

  • Security + (CE) minimum, CISSP desired (mandatory within 6 months of hire IAW DoD 8140/8170)

  • Linux/Unix working knowledge
