ManTech Software Test Engineer II in Stafford, Virginia

ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Software Test Engineer to join our team in Stafford VA to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech.

The Test Engineer will perform planning, testing, proof of concept, verification and validation, Assessment and Authorization, and effectiveness analysis for total systems.

This position requires and active DOD TS/SCI clearance.

Knowledge/Experience:

Should include at least three (3) years with at least two (2) of the following skills:

  • Recommending and implementing automated test tools and strategies.

  • Writing, implementing and reporting status for system test cases.

  • Developing, maintaining and upgrading automatic test scripts and architectures for application products.

  • Analyzing test cases and providing regular progress reports

  • Demonstrating the ability to investigate and analyze software problems in test and operational environments.

  • Knowledge of DoD and/or Marine Corps policies and procedures, DoD 5000, CMMI, ISO 9000

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Developing test strategies for all of the systems.

  • Developing and maintaining test plans and test procedures to meet objectives of the system for both developmental and operational tests.

  • Documenting, investigating, and tracking both integration and operational defects.

  • Providing input to and participate in the CCB process.

  • Capturing and reporting defect metrics.

  • Planning and executing software testing efforts using Agile methodologies.

  • Testing of systems using Windows 10, Windows server 2012 R2/2016 and Linux type operating systems.

  • Other technologies to include Hyper-V, ArcGIS, Geospatial applications, and directory services, i.e. Active Directory or LDAP.

  • Identifying system integrity issues and solutions for the full system life cycle from concept to disposal.

  • Working with customer regarding systems testing technical considerations for associated problems, issues, or conflicts.

  • Application of system life cycle, agile development, and software technologies currently used in DOD/IC enterprise.

  • Analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.

  • Testing, maintaining, and monitoring computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems.

  • Preparing required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.

  • Assisting in establishing standards for information systems procedures.

  • Some travel possible.

Qualifications

Requires Bachelor s degree (in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or related field) or equivalent, and five to seven years of related experience.
