ManTech Technical SETA Lead in Washington, District Of Columbia
The selected individual will serve as the Technical Team Lead/Manager for a large Department of Energy Systems, Engineering, and Technical Assistance (SETA) contract. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a group of 30+ FTE with advanced degrees in the research and development area. The candidate should have experience interacting with senior Federal Government employees. Individual will serve as subject matter expert in relevant Energy technology areas and serve as the Technical Program Manager responsible for the quality of technical services to the Federal Client. Individual will engage Government leadership across the organization, highlighting and communicating innovative solutions and findings to multiple levels of leadership. Will be responsible to ensure client satisfaction with team s delivery and seek opportunities to expand and grow our work. The position is located in the Washington DC area conveniently located near the Metro.
Essential Job Duties:
Responsible for dispute resolution between staff and clients where necessary
Manager for all Monthly Technical deliverables and communication between ManTech and Federal Technical staff
This individual is responsible to the Program Manager to resolve any issues of deficiency in meeting contractual obligations
Broad understanding of the energy technology landscape to allow for the identification/development of new developing areas of energy technology research and investment
Individual with responsibilities for the strategic direction of the technology team to meet the Goals of leadership
Activities include liaising with the technology community to ensure awareness and ability to communicate to senior management on the latest advancements in technology in order to meet the necessary federal requirements
Act as responsible individual for all deliverables to the clients, in terms of quality, timeliness, and accuracy of assignment
Build working relationships with other areas of ManTech team to establish team cohesiveness and meet the program objectives
Responsible for all staffing decisions and assignments of roles for individuals
Responsible for all disciplinary discussion and determining corrective actions needed by staff
Identifies, acquires, and utilizes company resources to achieve project technical objectives
Provide strong organizational, planning and analysis skills in executing critical day-to-day functions and priorities
Perform a variety of both complex and routine administrative and analytical duties
Mentor program direct reports in operations, program management and business development
- US Citizenship with eligibility to be granted a government security clearance required.
Requires PhD and ten to twelve years of related experience including management experience of similar size
Requires Department of Energy experience at the headquarters level with increasing responsibilities working on projects
Management of multiple programs simultaneously
Exceptional verbal and written communication and negotiation skills as well as technical writing skills and experience
